On the 13th, the global number one cloud company, AWS (Amazon Web Services), announced their generative AI tool, Bedrock. Recently, they officially joined the AI competition war between Microsoft and Google.
Bedrock is a cloud service for building generative AI, and AWS also announced their foundation model, Titan, for this purpose. Titan consists of two LLMs (large language models): a text generation and question-answering model, and an embedding model for search and personalization.

Customers can easily build and deploy generative AI-based applications using FM (Foundation Model: high-performance base models), and they only need to use an appropriate FM that fits their business needs. This is generating high expectations because it provides safety to companies by avoiding risks such as confidential company data sharing, which is becoming an issue in recent AI development. This is possible because the platform is neutral and not dependent on a particular model, thus reducing security concerns.
This move is interpreted as an intention by AWS to further strengthen their position as the leading and unrivaled provider of cloud services by using generative AI as a stepping stone while reducing security concerns.

Recently, as Microsoft's ChatGPT has started to receive worldwide attention, Google's stronghold on the search market is being slowly cracked by incorporating AI into Bing, and Amazon is expected to actively utilize its specialized AI infrastructure in response to this. Unlike existing AI models from competitors, this service provides companies with the ability to develop and improve AI through Bedrock on their own.
Currently, this service is being offered as a limited preview to some companies for testing purposes.

Recently, it has been reported that Elon Musk is also exploring the establishment of an AI startup.
Elon Musk, a well-known figure in the global tech industry who also signed an open letter with over 1,000 people when the nonprofit organization FLI (Future of Life Institute) suspended its AI system development for six months, is also said to be a potential participant in this new venture.
On April 14th (local time), foreign news agencies such as Reuters and Bloomberg reported that Musk is planning to establish a startup that can rival OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, and has secured thousands of GPUs (graphic processing units) for this purpose.
Musk co-founded OpenAI with CEO Sam Altman in 2015 but reportedly parted ways due to disagreements over research and development direction and a lack of progress, among other issues.
